We will have a small family Thanksgiving gathering this year. It’s a good time of the year to express our gratitude for all we have. The one thing that surprised me about the Thanksgiving week: our grandson has the whole week off from school. I don’t know when this changed, but as a kid and when raising our own children, it was only Thursday and Friday off. In fact, when I started working, the Friday after Thanksgiving was a good time to catch up on paperwork at the office. Not being a shopper, I’ve never been inspired by the whole Black Friday thing.
